'Must Bring' Enduro Paperwork  2010

Motorcycling Australia has a $ 50 Million Public Liability cover for the organisers, workers and land-holders involved with Enduro events.

There are several conditions that must be met for the coverage.......

1. The Enduro must have a MV Competition Permit issued.

2. Riders must be a member of the GTEC because the competition permit is for a closed to club members only event. (hence the membership card, $10 fee)

3. The rider must have a Competition Licence........MA annual competition or One Day type.

4. The bike MUST be registered.........full rego or recreational rego, this includes the Victorian or SA equivalent of the above for Enduros held in a State Forest ....... public land.

5. Riders MUST have Ambulance cover (details of this cover must be placed on the event entry form)

If any of the above conditions are not met then the Insurance may not cover any incident that may occur. This would place the organisers, workers and land-owners in a perilous legal situation.

To make sure everyone is covered, at the Enduro "entry point"

1. The organisers must display the MV Competition Permit so that you know the event is a properly sanctioned and insured event.

2. Riders must produce their membership card (or buy a membership $10)

3. Riders must produce their MV Annual Competition licence or buy a MA One Day competition licence.
( MA One Day Licence $45 )

4. Riders must produce their bike's current Certificate of Registration.

5. Riders must fill out the Event Competition Entry Form. ( Entry $35 ) ...... note Ambulance cover details.

Suggestion...in the week prior to an event, riders should get their paperwork together (its like bike maintenance, its got to be done)

a. Obtain the Event Entry Form by mail or Internet down load from the website. Fill the form in, both front and back !

b. Get your membership card, competition licence, current rego certificate, entry form and the correct entry fee in cash, put the whole lot together in an A4 sized plastic pocket ready to go.

c. Pack this with your gear to take to the event !!!

With all your paperwork together and ready to go the entry procedure will be much quicker and easier for all concerned ........ then, we can get on with the riding !!!
